What is the Third Heaven Ranch?

Your first question upon finding this blog might be, ‘What is the Third Heaven Ranch’?  Well….for now it’s a vision.  It was given to me by the Lord back in the early 1990’s and has never left my mind.  I’ve prayed about it, meditated over it, and asked God for the manifestation of it since that time.  I believe this blog is the beginning of its manifestation.

The ‘Third Heaven’ in Scripture is simply the ‘abode of God’.  I found this definition years ago on the internet (somewhere) and I thought it described perfectly what I feel the Lord had impressed upon me about the Third Heaven:

“It’s where God dwells. The first heaven we see by day (the sky), the second heaven we see by night (the stars), the third heaven we see BY FAITH (where God lives).”

Another place I read:

“It is a place of divine encounter and divine revelation.”

Isn’t that what we all want…a place to meet with God and hear from Him?

Now the ‘ranch part’ is still a vision.  I love ‘ranch life’.  I grew up in the city in West Texas but have discovered in later life that I’m a ‘country girl’ at heart.  I’ve lived in the city and in the country, on a farm and now in the mountains.  Can you have a ranch in the mountains?  🙂 I think so but I’m open to whatever God has planned.  The name He placed on my heart was ‘Third Heaven Ranch’ and that has stayed with me over 25 years.  I’ve questioned Him repeatedly about the ‘ranch’ part but I always sense it WILL be a ranch.

For now, here’s the vision:

The Third Heaven Ranch is a place of refuge for the weary, the hurting, the disillusioned, the broken….a place of healing by the power of the Holy Spirit.  It’s a place where God dwells.  From a short stay to a lengthy one, each one who comes ‘to the ranch’ will leave with a greater understanding of Who God is and how much He loves them.

The ranch is not open yet, but it will be.  For now, I’ll be blogging on a variety of things….what He is teaching me, animals, recipes (I’ve lived all over the south from Texas to Georgia and have collected quite a few), and basically whatever He lays on my heart to write about.
